I am a skater
I wonder how gas turns into plasma when heated up.
I hear my cat meowing with her mouth when she wants me to feed her food.
I see cars zooming past me from the bedroom  window.
I want to be Tony Hawk 2.
I am a skater
I pretend to do tricks on a skateboard
I feel the grip tape on my feet.
I touch the bush that goes past me in the garden.
I worry that I'll skate into someone
I cry when I fall off my skateboard
I am a skater
I understand how to do an ollie on my skate board.
I say that I can do an ollie.
I dream of being a pro skater.
I try to do an ollie.
I hope I will do an ollie.
I am a skater
I am proud of my I am poem because It really tells the about me and what I like. What I learnt was how to write good poems. Here is the example that helped me. What explained me in my poem was how much I liked skateboarding and I put detail in there by telling the reader who I am and what I think and believe.

Model

I am a thinker, I am different

I wonder if people believe in themselves?

I hear the sparkle kind people bring to the world

I see animals teaching us each hour

I want to fix but sometimes I can’t

I am a thinker, I am different

I pretend to be a fairy twinkling about

I feel so content when people flourish

I touch silky fur and smile
I worry what others might think
I cry when people are distressed
I am a thinker, I am different
I understand that we are stars always ready to twinkle
I say what I believe (sometimes)
I dream of unicorns, mermaids and pixies
I try to make a difference
I hope that most days I do
I am a thinker, I am different
